'Vivien Oldfield creates fine art photographic prints and digital photomontages designed to highlight the transient beauty and intrigue of the natural world. Many of her artworks are influenced by the coastline, countryside and gardens of West Kent and East Sussex which she photographs throughout the seasons. Others are composites of images that fire her imagination - reworked to give a new narrative.'

PHOTOHASTINGS MEMBER SELECTED FOR RYE SOCIETY OF ARTISTS SUMMER EXHIBITION 2023
Rye based Photographer, Vivien Oldfield, is exhibiting as a guest artist at Rye Society of Artists Summer Exhibition 2023. Two prints were selected by the committee for this year’s show: ‘April Muse' (left) and 'Blue Acer Gown’ (right). The digital photomontages are from a series of figures in the landscape that blend dressmakers dummies with the local countryside to represent our affinity with nature.
The popular annual show features a mix of paintings, photographs, etchings, drawing, ceramics, and sculpture, with Royal Academicians hanging next to local artists. It opens daily from 10.30am – 5.00pm until 28th August at the Dance Hall Community Centre, Conduit Hill, Rye TN31 7LE.
